「良い音のなる笛を作りたい」との一心から、竹採りから塗りまで一貫して、手間と時間をかけ当工房で製作しています。

The Shinobue flute is a common flute used in traditional musical accompanyment. It is played in festivals and performances, and particularly in dances like those of the spectacular Awa Odori and Sendai Suzume Odori festivals. We strive to make high-quality flutes that can produce a rich sound. From harvesting the bamboo to applying lacquer, at our workshop we take no shortcuts in our craft.

ドレミ調の篠笛を作り続けて40余年、東日本大震災以降、被災地の助けになるべく、古典調の篠笛を作りはじめ、今は各地の伝統芸能継承の助力に向き合っております。

We've been making do-re-mi tuned flutes for over 40 years. Since the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, we also started making traditionally tuned flutes, in order to contribute to the aid effort and the preservation of traditional Japanese crafts and music.
